I was so happy to create this recipe. It is super easy to make and a real crowd pleaser! These are one of our son’s favorite snacks. The only problem with them is they disappear so quickly. Be sure to have one before your serve to your guests.
2 pkg of refrigerated ravioli (I use one package of cheese and one package of Italian sausage)
2 c. Buttermilk
2 to 3 c. Italian breadcrumbs
Jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
Vegetable oil for frying
Bring the ravioli to room temperature. Preheat the oil to high (375 degrees) either in a large saucepan or fryer (I use a fryer).
Dip each ravioli in the buttermilk. Drain excess buttermilk. Coat both sides in the breadcrumbs. Place on a cookie sheet. Repeat until all ravioli have been breaded.
Fry in batches about 2 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the oil and place on a cookie sheet lined with paper towels (to remove a little of the grease).
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Transfer ravioli to a serving plate with a bowl spaghetti sauce for dipping.
